CTTC was proud to host the New York Media Reception on February 3 at the W New York Hotel. This event is designed to connect California destinations and tourism businesses with key travel media to generate additional interest in California as a travel destination.
This long-running event also gave the 43 registered California delegates the opportunity to showcase story ideas and what's new in their respective areas. More than 70 key consumer, lifestyle and travel media based in the New York area braved a blustery snowstorm to attend, with representatives from Conde Nast Traveler, New York Daily News, Fodor’s, New York Post, Travel + Leisure, and top freelancers, among others.
CTTC also provided media attendees with a fun California farmer's market, where media could "shop" for California produce to take home. Media were greatly impressed by the variety of produce available, and enjoyed being able to take home a piece of California.
The next Media Reception will take place April 21 in Los Angeles. Set at the Sheraton Los Angeles Downtown hotel, this is a great opportunity to garner top-tier, national media coverage for your California destination, accommodations or attraction, and network one-on-one with Los Angeles-based travel and lifestyle media.
