The 2009 Amgen Tour of California cycling race is just days away! The 2009 race will include stops in 16 host cities over the course of nine days from February 14–22. The event’s fourth running has been expanded to cover more than 800 miles over the nine days. The 16 official stage start and finish cities that have been selected for the 2009 race include eight new locales — Davis, Santa Cruz, Merced, Clovis, Visalia, Paso Robles, Rancho Bernardo and Escondido — that will join Sacramento, Santa Rosa, Sausalito, San Jose, Modesto, Solvang, Santa Clarita and Pasadena as host cities along the route. For more information, go to amgentourofcalifornia.com.
CTTC has big plans for the Lifestyle Festival at each stage of the race, including a cool branded Airstream trailer covered in California images and partner URLs, manned by DMO representatives in each region. CTTC is recreating an iconic California camping experience, as well as providing refreshments and both CTTC and partner collateral. As a founding partner, CTTC will also continue to receive recognition throughout the event, including course signage, on-site TV spot exposure during the Lifestyle Festival, PA announcements, online coverage, full-color feature in Amgen Tour program and presentation of the King of the Mountain jersey. Watch for a complete event report in next month's Insights.
