CTTC is excited to announce the new homepage hero and global header design for the visitcalifornia.com site! The new homepage launched March 1 on both the U.S. and German Web sites. The treatment brings a fresh look and feel to the homepage while surfacing engaging content at the entryway to our site.
The homepage treatment was one of several initiatives that Sapient, CTTC's interactive agency of record, developed to meet the following objectives:
- Enhance user experience, engagement and satisfaction on the Web site while reducing site abandonment
- Support in-state industry and destinations
- Extend the California brand on the Web
- Elicit measurable results
At the core of this initiative is improving accessibility and interactivity of relevant content for the site visitor in order to bolster their engagement. Key highlights include:
- A great opportunity to facilitate users’ exploration of California quickly and easily from the homepage.
- Larger video playback area (with full-screen video) and slideshows.
- A templated, scalable solution, that gives us the ability to easily modify and update elements and surface dynamic content, promotions or offers.

Willkommen auf Kalifornien!
CTTC launched the Germany Web site, visitcalifornia.de, with the help of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger at CeBIT, the world's largest technology show. The newly designed site offers “must see” attractions and inside scoops, as well as more trip ideas and information on visas and transportation. Consumers will also find flight options and vacation packages to receive the best value for their California getaway. With information in a visually appealing, fun format, visitcalifornia.de will be a fantastic tool in this growing market. The site also features a personalized letter from the Governor.
